Ultrasonic Spectacles and Waist-Belt for Visually Impaired and Blind Person is a novel embedded system that can design by the students of B.E/B/Tech and M.E/M/Tech from any branch of study. This system is present to assist blind persons to step out fearless in the particular moving path. Ultrasonic Spectacles and Waist-Belt for Visually Impaired and Blind Person sensors play key role in designing this navigation system that helps the visually impaired persons to walk by avoiding obstacles present in–front.

The ultrasonic sensors are fed into belt and spectacles which are carry over by the person at all time.

These sensors are connect with a microcontroller followed by a speaker that is placed on person’s ear to listen to the voice commands. The entire kit model is provide with a battery assist power supply for functioning, here the ultrasonic sensors determines distance of the obstacle from the person’s current position using a formulation that includes speed of sound and elapse time.

Once an obstacle is detect, the pre-record voice will be play and so the blind person can move accordingly.
