Modeling and Simulation of AC Side Impedance-Based Stability Assessment

 

Implementation Plan:

 

Step 1: Initially, we construct the Simulink model of a grid-with AC-Side Impedance-Based Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) .

Step 2: Then, we simulate and collect simulated data such as voltage, current power and impedance responses.

Step 3: Then, we analyze impedance interaction between converter and grid using minor-loop gain and Nyquist/Bode criteria based on collected data.

Step 4: Next, we apply stability improvement techniques, low-pass filtering and lead compensator for analyzing impact based on collected data.

Step 5: Finally, we plot performance metrics vs. Time:

5.1: Time vs. Voltage (V)
5.2: Time vs. Current (A)
5.3: Time vs. Active Power (P)
5.4: Time vs. Reactive Power (Q)

 

Software Requirements:

 

1. Development Tool: MATLAB R2023a/Simulink or above
2. Operating System: Windows-10 (64-bit) or above
