Modeling and Simulation of IEEE 9 Bus System under Varying Load Conditions in Matlab Simulink

Implementation Plan

Scenario 1: Baseline

Step 1: Initially, we construct the IEEE 9-bus system model with base generation, transmission lines, and default load conditions .

Step 2: Then, we simulate the model and collect time-series data like current,voltage,power and frequency data.

Step 3: Next, we analyze DC load flow using the Newton-Raphson method based on collected grid constraints data.

Step 4: Finally, we evaluate and plot performance metrics for the following:

4.1: Time vs. Current (A)
4.2: Time vs. Voltage (V)
4.3: Time vs. Power (KW)
4.4: Time vs. Frequency (Hz)
4.5: Time vs. Phase Angle (Degree)
4.6: Time vs. Generation Cost (₹/hr)

Scenario 2: One Load Variation

Step 1: Initially, we construct the IEEE 9-bus system model by integrating a time-varying load at Bus 2 .

Step 2: Then, we simulate the model and collect time-series data like current,voltage,power and frequency data.

Step 3: Next, we analyze DC load flow using the Newton-Raphson method based on collected grid constraints data.

Step 4: Finally, we evaluate and plot performance metrics for the following:

4.1: Time vs. Current (A)
4.2: Time vs. Voltage (V)
4.3: Time vs. Power (KW)
4.4: Time vs. Frequency (Hz)
4.5: Time vs. Phase Angle (Degree)
4.6: Time vs. Generation Cost (₹/hr)

Scenario 3: Two Load Variations

Software Requirements:

1. Development Tool: MATLAB R2023a/Simulink or above
2. Operating System: Windows-10 (64-bit) or above
