Hand Gestures Controlled Intelligent Wheelchair is especially model for physically disable person. Usually physically disable persons are enable to move using wheelchair from one position to another. The traditional wheelchair requires human power to take a physically challenge person to the target place.

To comfort the movement of wheelchair, an intelligent wheelchair is design with the controlling ability of hand gestures.

This intelligent wheelchair is design as a human computer interface. In recent days, wheelchair is control using remote functionalities based on emerging technologies.

In this project, a Hand Gestures Controlled Intelligent Wheelchair is design which is a hardware based wheelchair design and controlled using hand gesture. Hand gestures are define as the movement of hand in different directions, which enables to move the wheelchair. The two major sensors used in this are: accelerometer sensor and ultrasonic sensor. Here the accelerometer sensor is to detect the angle of the hand gestures and the ultrasonic is to predict the obstacle present in front.

A Hand-Gestures-Controlled-Intelligent Wheel-chair is design using the following components,
