Design and Implementation of Water Environment Monitoring System using GSM Technology is applicable for water storing and management environment of dams. The water level in dam dynamically vary in accordance to the amount of rain and if the level exceeds the limits, then it tends to cause flood. It is often essential to estimate the quality of water and maintain its quality without any contamination.

A project is develop to measure water pollution, water impurities and level of water in terms of temperature, turbidity and pH.

By estimating these parameters, the quality of water is determine and also the dam’s gates are control in accordance to the water levels. Each sensor measurement is suppose to have a particular threshold value, whose final decision is made at controller.

On detecting the variations in the water levels, an alert message is sent through SMS by using Global system for Mobile communication.
