A Hybrid Approach for Efficient Modeling of Wireless Safety Systems in Coal Mines is a project that is developed for life saving of workers in coal mine. Working into coal mines is risky due to the generation of poisonous and harmful gases which are life killing.

In order to safeguard workers in this field, a smart helmet is designed using hardware electronic devices.

If the helmet measures hazardous gases, then the emergency messages are sent through ZigBee, further increase in abnormalities tends to turn on buzzer. Buzzing will help the worker to be precaution about the gases and can escape from the current state. Safety features supporting helmet is potential beneficial for many number of mine workers.

A complete design of the helmet is composed of sensors, ZigBee transmitter and buzzer.
